Vedanta dividend news: Third interim dividend for FY25 is announced by Vedanta at ₹20 per share.

In May, Vedanta Limited distributed its first interim dividend of ₹11 per equity share. In July, the company distributed a second dividend of ₹4 per equity share. On September 2, Vedanta approved a third dividend of Rs 20 per share for the current fiscal year.

Vedanta Limited announced via the BSE that its board of directors, during a meeting held on September 2, 2024, approved a significant interim dividend of ₹20 per equity share, with a face value of ₹1, for the current financial year. The total payout amounts to ₹7,821 crore, according to the notice posted on the Bombay Stock Exchange

With this, the dividend for 2024–25 has now totaled Rs 13,474 crore. In the same way, Vedanta declared an interim dividend for the whole 2023–2024 fiscal year of Rs 29.5 per share, or Rs 10,966 crore to shareholders.

Monday, September 2, saw a 1.1% decrease in Vedanta Limited shares, closing at ₹463.25. The share has traded at 208.00 as its 52-week low and 506.75 as its 52-week high. Following market operating hours, the company declared the interim dividend.

Profit after tax increased by 54% year over year to Rs 5,095 crore in the first quarter. According to the BSE filing, the interim dividend will be paid on Tuesday, September 10.

According to Vedanta Limited's consolidated financial filings, the company's net profits for the April to June quarter of the fiscal year 2024–25 increased by 54% to ₹5,095 crore as compared to the same quarter the previous year.

In the first quarter, the company's revenues increased by 6% year over year to ₹35,239 crore. As of the June 2024 quarter, Vedanta's net debt was ₹61,324 crore, up from ₹56,338 crore at the end of March 2024.
